Vander Giessen Nursery Christmas Open House

The Christmas season has arrived, and nothing says Christmas like a warm, festive party with friends. At Vander Giessen Nursery, we’ve hosted a Christmas open house for most of the more than 80 years we’ve been in business, and the tradition continues this year!

Join us on Saturday, December 7 from 10:00-3:00 for our annual Christmas Open House. We’ll be serving up hot, fresh olie bollen made with our family’s secret recipe and considered by many to be the best olie bollen they’ve ever tasted. If you’re unfamiliar with olie bollen, it’s essentially a Dutch donut made with apples and raisins. We’ll also have free coffee, hot cocoa and apple cider to enjoy while you visit with friends new and old.

While you enjoy your free olie bollen and coffee, we invite you to meander through our greenhouses and browse our selection of colorful poinsettias, Christmas trees, wreaths and cedar garland and let us help you get your home decorated for the holidays.

Additionally, be sure to enter to win one of our door prizes and take advantage of special one-day-only sale prices on many of our garden tools that would make great gift items as well as our once-a-year sale on our entire selection of in-stock fountains and statuary.

The free olie bollen and coffee will be available from 10:00-3:00, but we’re open 9:00-5:00, so stop in anytime throughout the day to pick up your Christmas tree or shop for the perfect gardener stocking stuffer. We look forward to sharing the day with you!
